Elopement: Vows & Rings
Sometimes, you just want something simple! This service is designed for couples who want to formalize their commitment without all the ceremony and attention. I’ll handle the necessities—the vows, the ring exchange, the pronouncement, and the timely filing of your license—in a brief, meaningful ceremony. It’s simple, dignified, and direct, at the site of your choice (within fifteen miles of Pittsburgh; I may request mileage beyond that). Up to 15 guests are welcome.
There will not be a rehearsal, but we’ll have a Zoom or in-person meeting in advance to ensure things go smoothly.
Ensure your marriage is established with spiritual integrity and legal certainty, allowing you to get to the celebration sooner!
Cost: $200 Fri-Sun, or $150 Mon-Thurs
Standard Ceremony: Your Shared Story
This is the standard package for a reason: it strikes the right balance between personal depth and streamlined preparation.
We start with a strong, traditional liturgy, and shape it to reflect your journey. After a consultation, I’ll help you select meaningful readings, incorporate a unity ritual (if desired: this could be a unity candle, sand mixing, etc.), and integrate personal vows, resulting in a cohesive ceremony that feels yours. This is a full ceremony—honoring the sacred covenant you are making—while keeping the planning manageable and your guests engaged.
You can expect the ceremony to last fifteen to twenty minutes, and there is no limit to the number of guests.
Cost: $500 Fri-Sun, or $450 Mon-Thurs
Rehearsal: $100 (strongly encouraged)
Customized Ceremony
For couples who desire their ceremony reflect their unique lives and backgrounds, this is a comprehensive service. This premium package involves a deep, editorial dive into your relationship, background, and vision for marriage. We collaborate extensively to compose a unique ceremony—including an integrated message that thoughtfully connects your narrative to your values.
If you need coordination with vendors, management of a rehearsal, or some extra attention paid to complex family or spiritual dynamics, this package provides the dedicated time and creative effort required to celebrate the covenant you are forging together.
